The College of Agriculture and Life Sciences Staff Council is seeking nominations for the inaugural CALS Peer Award for Leadership and Service (CALS PALS). This new annual award recognizes the exceptional efforts and contributions of Professional & Scientific and Merit staff.
CALS PALS honors staff who consistently go above and beyond in their support of research, teaching, and extension, which are at the heart of the University’s Land-Grant mission. This award celebrates those whose exceptional contributions might otherwise go unrecognized and may not fit well within existing CALS award categories.
Nominations are welcome in all areas of responsibility, including, but not limited to, research, teaching, extension, administration/financial support, and IT/technology. Nominations may be made by peers, faculty, administrators, or through self-nomination.
Nominations are due January 31.
The CALS Staff Council Recognition and Awards Committee will select awardees in February, and winners will be recognized at the CALS Spring Picnic in May.
Award recipients will receive recognition and a $500 stipend.
